To be honest, I really don't get why you guys keep lowering this to a very personal level. Not to undermine the significance of any of the things you two have spoken about, but it really seems a bit inappropriate - I could gladly make the wide-sweeping remark that everyone on this site has dealt with social anxiety and loneliness, to a small to large extent.
When I joined the site, I was a very unhappy teenager who craved social interaction, and had been using forums due to not being very sociable in real life for years. Not very dire stuff but still, I think this was the same for a few of my irl friends when they joined.
And if you look across the members list, I reckon almost everyone on it has had a similar experience, regardless of time in their life and situation, where they went through this to whatever extent. I'm also sure there's people who've had to cope with situations as apparently dire as yours.
But the thing is, that's why an online community like this exists - it really is a "forum" in the classical definition.
There's no criteria needed to be part of it. This isn't some massive social club where everyone is friends with everyone and you need to penetrate it or whatever.
I work at a pub, one in a village where most of the drinkers are people who live nearby, and I think its an image that perfectly mirrors an internet forum like this - Most of the people who drink/hang out there are locals/regulars, everyone knows each other but might just hang out with certain friends or people, some people actually dislike each other, and they all come in day after day to socialize.
Now, you guys just need to stop making posts like this, because they're not going to help anyone. There's absolutely no need to keep bringing in your personal details, because the very basic elements at their core are overtly familiar to everyone here to the point of irrelevancy. You can't just request we pay more attention to one of you and not the other, because that's not how we work - socializing on this site is a natural experience, not an artificial or forced one. You need to stop caring about whether people know or respect you, because this isn't a social club and, to be frank, you're never going to get along or be friends with every single member because there's just far too many of us. I've been on this site for like what, nearly five years, and there's still plenty of members I don't know all that well.
And most of all, you guys need to stop making threads and posts like this. Socializing isn't some sort of game where you rack up points and evaluate your process, because there's nothing to evaluate. It's just like real life like, for example, going on mumble for the first few dozen times, when you hardly know anyone, is almost exactly like forcing yourself to go to a party your anxious about. These posts, where you draw attention to the fact that you feel like your not fitting in, are probably the sole reason you're not; it's almost like your making it an issue. Had you not mentioned your ban, I can guaranty you that 98% of this site wouldn't have even been aware of it.
Very simply, just stop worrying about this and stop doing what you're doing. Being on this site shouldn't feel like an overwhelming process of developments and setbacks to you guys.
As you all know, I really wanted to try this service out as it looks pretty damn slick.
Unable to find any codes available for the poor and unwashed Americans out there, I took matters into my own hands and emailed the company direct.
Now, I sent that this morning. I wasn't really expecting a reply, or if I did get one it would be a stock and stamp auto-generated one thanking me for my interest and little more.
But no. About an hour later I received a letter from one Gina, representing the Graze team, informing me my letter was just too well written and thought out to ignore.

imagine if one day rioter and sucky meet each other and the similarities are so great that the universe can't contain them both so they fuse together and become SuckOnRioter
Several men are in the locker room of a golf club when a cellular phone on a bench rings and a man engages the hands-free speaker function and begins to talk. Everyone else in the room stops to listen.
MAN: “Hello!”
WOMAN: “Hi Honey, it’s me. Are you at the club?”
MAN: “Yes.”
WOMAN: “I’m at the shops now and found this beautiful leather coat. It’s only $2,000; is it OK if I buy it?”
MAN: “Sure, go ahead if you like it that much.”
WOMAN: “I also stopped by the Lexus dealership and saw the new models. I saw one I really liked.”
MAN: “How much?”
WOMAN: “$90,000.”
MAN: “OK, but for that price I want it with all the options.”
WOMAN: “Great! Oh, and one more thing. I was just talking to Janie and found out that the house I wanted last year is back on the market. They’re asking $980,000 for it.”
MAN: “Well, then go ahead and make an offer of $900,000. They’ll probably take it. If not, we can go the extra eighty-thousand if it’s what you really want.”
WOMAN: “OK. I’ll see you later! I love you so much!”
MAN: “Bye! I love you, too.”
The man hangs up. The other men in the locker room are staring at him in astonishment, mouths wide open.
He turns and asks, “Anyone know whose phone this is?”
We are a community. We play, we laugh and, most importantly, we listen. Today I humbly come before you all to share some factual information.
On 8 December 2011, the role of administrator specific to GamingMasters' Team Fortress 2 PropHunt server was disbanded. Members of this group were offered the choice of becoming full server administrators or returning to being community members. All members of this group unanimously decided to return to community member status.
On 7 June 2013, the administrator application form was posted as a stickied thread within this very sub-forum by user and manager Dark. On this post, it was stated that users may apply for a variety of administrator positions, including "TF2 Prophunt". Not mentioned in this post was that upon this reintroduction of the Team Fortress 2 PropHunt server adminstrator role, it was not offered to the users previously in this role.
On 21 May 2014, the GamingMasters group underwent various changes, including the removal of the clan and a new focus on community. Within this post, a manager of the GamingMasters community, Savage, stated that applications for administrator rights on any specific GamingMasters servers could be done directly to any managers. On this thread, I publicly applied for the position of administrator specific to the GamingMasters' Team Fortress 2 PropHunt server. This post received positive a number of positive reactions including 6 "Agree" ratings, of which 3 were from existing server administrators. Despite this public application having positive community response and being read by multiple managers, it was ignored.
On 12 May 2017, a community member named Selvar made an application to become an administrator of GamingMasters' Team Fortress 2 PropHunt server. Within 38 minutes, a manager of the community replied to say that the application was being discussed by the management team. On 16 May 2017, this application was accepted and Selvar became the first administrator specific to the GamingMasters' Team Fortress 2 PropHunt server in over 5 years.
As we approach the 3rd anniversary of my still-open application, I would like to thank the community for their support over the years and look eagerly onwards towards the good times to come. There is no road too long to the man who advances deliberately and without undue haste; there are no honours too distant to the man who prepares himself for them with patience.
But on Christmas, I found myself exceedingly bored at work (due to little more than religious programming airing on the overnight) and decided to once again delve into the cesspool that is the Steam Powered User Forums.
The hot topic of the day is the Short Circuit, and how it's being considered over powered.
Using the skills I've gleaned from our Community, I combined polite and well worded arguments with ridiculous and wild notions that can often found on these forums, and made this thread.
Now, keep in mind that on page #7 I had to get back to work...
And it's been going on for 18 pages now.
The people of SPUF are rather hilarious and horrible.
Hello everyone, hope you're all good. After a conversation amongst the Management and a conversation with HellJack, Jack will be returning to the Management position.
We need to get a more diverse Managerial team to try and get things together - and I need more help on the community side. Shit goes down daily in GM - and the more people we have available to help address these problems the more smoothly things will come to a dénouement.
If you need something to change or happen, people know they can come to any member of the leadership team to try and get things moving - the more "types" of personality available will hopefully get the results people want. People know I'm the diplomat, Jack is the "do-er". I'm the "good cop", Jack is the "bad cop". Gaw is neutral and Dark is... Dark :v
Some people may not like this move, whilst others will appreciate it. To everyone I want to say: we need more people in the Management position to try and push forward and get some fun times rolling.
