    But anyway, 24 slots servers, we really need to get them populated. :D

    4GB DDR2 PC6400
    1680x1050
    Everything maxed (16xAF, 8xAA -doesn't go higher-)
    On a 32 man server it often drops to 40 fps, which for some reason is hardly playable unlike crysis where it still feels fine.
    Turning the graphics all the way down results in the exact same framerate, maybe add 5 fps.
    No i do not have vsync on or anything.

    Yup, with the right hardware 32 players is no problem :)

    On a spammy 32 slot server I still get 60-72fps (capped due to vsync (CRT ftw :P)), albeit with only 2x AA (I don't really see the difference with more - 19" at 1600x1200 really packs in the pixels so there is little difference in quality on higher AA settings).

    That's on:

    E6850 (3.0GHz Dual Core)
    8800GTS 640mb (first generation) OC'd quite a bit
    3GB DDR2 PC6400 (stupid chipset is unstable with 4 :x)
    1600x1200, All at max except AA (2x).

    dude I wish I had your darki :lol: my graphics card doesn't even support l4d, so unfortunately... no demo for me

    Seriously, you will not. Don't get your hopes up, your FPS will drop on 32man servers, even with that card.

    I know but ill get around 40 minimum rather than 15 hopefully but tbh its more just for 6v6 aslong a i get over 50 im fine

    I think CPU tends to be the bottleneck on 32 man servers.

    I know someone IRL with an 8800gt (pretty damn good) and a 1.8 GHz dual core (lol) that has to put their graphics to low to get over 20fps on 32-slot servers, but on 24-slots he gets a solid 60-70 fps :?
