2nd Frag Video by GM and the community

'lo all,
i'd like to create a 2nd frag movie, like the one Terr did. Basically I want to learn Vegas, the TF2 demo smoother, its effects and so on.
Follow the instructions here:

and write down the impressive passages. Upload the demo and send the passages to me.
To do so, press "Shift-F2" while in the demo file. You see the #of the Frame and so on. If you see a good frag, write down the number, i record it and so on
The thing is called "Tick", then 2 numbers, like here:

#1 is the tick number which i need. i will need the first number, in this example here "404".
#2 is the "speed bar", select it to move faster/slower forward.

edit: just send them, but let me some time.
1. i have to watch them
2. to record it with fraps
3. to cut, place music and stuff

I will have to "kick out" some less impressive frags, but the good ones will be in for sure. And you get credit

edit2: Dont send me old demos, they dont work anymore you will see it yourself. If you cant open them => trash.
and i dont just want Goldrush and Dustbowl, AND NO 32 PLAYER SERVS FOR THIS play some Badlands/Granary/Well/mach4 and so on....
MATCHPLAY VIDS > PUB VIDS. period.

editx:

1. So far i have 1.05GB XviD avi files (yes really )
2. It will be smaller as i compress them a bit, i hope it wont be over 900MB at the end.
3. Max. is 11 clips from John, that's what i need from everyone (about 7 would be nice.)
4. Intro is about 20 seconds
5. Music at Intro is one of the clips i got from Myke (Audrey Horne - Afterglow)
6. Total time of the AVIs is 323 seconds ~ 5 minutes 20. There will be a chop-off i think, so about 5 minutes.
7. Just keep spamming demos (you can take a break John unless it's like total PWNAGE.)

btw i watch the intro already, dude it too big for me, the size, i mean!
I got 19 inch monitor, and you sed you have 17inch? :o

yes i have 17 inch, but WUXGA 1920x1200px
it's HD 720p, (1280x720)
should be fine :twisted:

I watch it on my other monitor then in the other room, got a 21 inch widescreen!

Edit: haven't play TF2 on the widescreen one, i try and play this weekend sometime.

ye when i get it done, thats not a problem
will take about 1-2 weeks, maybe even more, the "school mark finish" is the 21th afair.
and btw, if anyone has good sound, i'll see if it fits in.

Holy hell that all sounds complicated...can't you just use fraps and some good ol' WMM?

because you dont want to upload some 100 MBs of HQ video, only to see that i sort out a good bit of it
And Sony Vegas is really nice, Terr used it too afair.

you send me the demos, and i can record them @1280x720 with good quality from the game, WITH fraps

mat_picmip -10 should work
will put a cooler next to it :lol:
normally i play @1920x1200, but with lowered graphics. I think my Go 7900 GTX will have to work hard

4x AA should be possible, but just dont play with 32 players :?
well i will see, 32 is laggy
btw, modified the intro and put this one in *RAWRRRHH!!!* :lol:

ye, the 79** aren't too bad
but i hate the fact that it's a mobile version (Go 7900 gtx, i have a laptop) so i only have old drivers...

btw, i'll be home at about 1:30pm gmt, and i want to see some demos then
(gmt +2 ftw.)

i frapsed the demo file then used Adobe premire pro, was low quality tho as i rushed it. cant bare to watch it now i feel let down with myself for not taking my time. i posted it onthe stgeam communtiy and it got slated so i took it off.

not around much these days so it will be a while before im on here again so best of luck with it mate. give me a shout on steam if u need any advice

You'll get a demo when the upload is finished (a few minutes)

When i watch it at home, than it has pretty bad fps... don't know if this is inherent in the demo, or if this is a matter of my PC. I hope you can still use it =)
The frags are nothing special, but i hope to be part of the next GM video.

4. 115005 - 122035- 15 kills! :o without a single death, but got raped by a medic! :oops: and waebi watch some more after that, there might be some more you interesting in.. got 4/5 kills

5. 166123- 183837- good spy moves, but bad death

6. 183400- (that part I save Reverend life, he owns me) watch that til the end of the stage(189343), did some good move and kills in the tunnel by the spawn in stage 3.
