About the servers

  1. loll Master Exploder

    80% of the TF2 servers are in ruins, they are pretty much unplayable/huge bugs or errors.
    Prophunt - New (mvm update) particles aren't updated, thus causing red crosses to explode all around when a gun is shot. Also noticable FPS drop and lagspikes.
    Payload - plr_hightower 24/7, despite having the name 'payload' also massive lags and FPS drops.
    MGE - needs map reload, lags here aswell.
    MvM #1 MASSIVE LAG, even the bots lag.
    Orange - Major FPS drop 80->40 for me on a full server.
    Old skool ph - empty 99.9999% of the time, since no one organizes events.

    Please fix these, dark/anyone who can. Thanks.

    Yep, #7 has massive weird FPS drops / lag / whatever you want to call it. I'd say it started this afternoon somewhere.

    2Fort nearly always empty, same for Kong.
    We still have the reed crosses bug on ph which can be fixed by removing one file in tf/particles/muzzle_flash or somthing like that.
    For the canteen bug, hopefully our master wizard Dark gets some help (eg on alliedmodders forums).
    The more players are on one server the lower frames I get but for some weird reason on GM it's in a much larger scale, so when I play a random 32/32 server I get 40-50 fps, on orange or ph I'm getting 14-25 fps when it's full. Don't know if this is client side, I think it's good to bring it up.

    EDIT: It would be also great if every server had proper dsock, and server numbers would show instead of 'Unknown Server'

    2Fort sometimes fills, I've seen it full.
    King again, sometimes fills, sometimes gets a few players. Never played King so dunno how bad it is.
    Ph bugs, something for Dark to fix, but good luck with that happening for the next two weeks
    FPS on server side doesn't seem to be bad when the server is full, perhaps we need to monitor it

    Proper dsock server numbers, Dark got lazy and didn't add the new servers in. If I find the file and can edit it, I'll fix it.

    Whats the weird error that started popping up on prophunt? Every time the round ends.

    /home/dsock/dsock.php (From memory, probably wrong, but it's hard coded into the DSM server, either way)

    Geit: pretty much right place but my dedi access is a tad on the mucked up side for the moment, waiting for it to be fixed.

    DSock is spaghetti.

    It is one of the most horrible bits of code to work with on the Dedi, and is filled with ridiculous little hacks, retarded variable names ($hurr and $durr feature prominently) and to boot, it works like PHP was never made to, as a persistent socket server.

    To make a replacement *would* be easy, if Dark didn't insist that it have full telnet support and other silly things. :P

    Well it has support for being persistent socket server, it's just pretty badly implemented. :D

    ugh... do not remind me. I for some reason have an old copy of dsock when I was trying to hack together the minecraft script.... I'm sure there's now probably $gravy and $quack variables in there now.
