  1. Changes, Upcoming Changes & Suggestions

    I did a little updating over the last week or so and may continue to update through the rest of the week/next week. A few experiments on some larger props yesterday provided me with some interesting results as well as many laughs. I'm sure the regulars may have already noticed some of the changes.

    Maps With New Props
    - Oasis
    - Brawl
    - Storm
    - Sawmill
    - Ravage
    - Timbertown

    I won't list what props are new. It'd be a little unfair if you know what to look out for. You'll just have to play to find out. A lot of them are in favour of the Blue team though, so beware prop team, I made your life more difficult.

    Updated Maps
    - Timbertown
    I added a few new hiding places and changed a few things around in an attempt to stop people from roof hopping to win. So far, it seems to be working. Time limit was changed to fit with the new additions.

    - Spooky Ravine
    I removed the spawn doors because they kept bugging out for some reason, allowing Red team to stay in their base free from harm. I'll try to add some ghosts once I learn how to use entities.

    I'll work on Cyberpunk when... I have time to do so because it needs a lot of work. I'm over my sickness now, so some of my time is going to be catching up on things. I'll fix the door exploit people seem to enjoy abusing at the moment by either adding a kill trigger, clipping the area or just removing the door. I'll try to do something to stop people just heading straight for the roof tops. I'll try to cut the file size down too~

    Any suggestions for new maps? Map changes? Props you'd like to see~?

    Updated version of Oasis.
    Expanded Oasis with more places to hide without breaking the theme or the boundaries. Hopefully it turns the map back into Hide and Seek and not Run-Around-Dodging-Pyros-In-The-Water.

    To replace PH_Canyon. Hopefully the Render error is gone. It never popped up when I was testing it so I'm hoping it's gone. I've also changed the way the lower level works. I've added some stairs so all classes can now go up and down from the lowest level with no problems.

    yeah, medic without either medigun would be good
    i still want to be scout on BLU :(
    heavy should only be allowed gloves/fist and sandwich
    viaduct would be a really good PH map (we could always hack into the NSA mainframe and use that to compile it)
    and more maps need banjo kazooie music :D
    and more spookyfied maps would be good ^_^

    Lol. Scout on blu means much higher win rate for blu. It happened on Lumberyard one game, and yea, red just got owned basically.
    Please take the minigun off, it's too powerful and the heavy's life is too high for it to really effect it, especially with the sandvich. Also, people just camp in one spot and wait for a prop to come round the corner then bam. Dead & rage. :(

  5. - I guess we could try Engineer with his buildings restricted. I think the wrench may pose some problems though since it's the weapon with the highest crit rate in the game.

    - I think Medic screwed up the last time we tried him. If the Bluts isn't allowed along with the chargers, it might work.

    - Heavies I agree with. I've never liked them since they were brought in. I solved some of the problem by having Natascha removed, but still so many complain...

    - More maps with music? Hmm I dunno if we can allow music to maps. It takes a lot of work to do and so far only Cyberpunk has various tracks. Cough.

    - Dark has said he might be able to do Viaduct with stripper. I dunno if it would work well though since there's a fair few areas that really need to be opened up.

    - I'll try and get around to doing some Spooky maps.

    Noo. It just owns too much. Think how annoying it is when like 5 pyros are shooting you with shotguns when you're running away from them and that's the equivelent of a blu scout because it matches props in every department AND has a scattergun. No to the blu Scout!

    - Headquarters/Desert maps in this forum could be viable possibly?

    - I'd also still love for somebody to use TF2Maps' new swamp theme pack to make a new PH Swamp.

    Response/Agreements to other suggestions:

    - Melee/Secondary Only Heavy

    - Medic without Bluts/Medigun/Kritz

    - Definate no to BLU Scout

    - Engie without sentry or dispenser is a possibility I guess.

    Things that are bad about the idea of a Blue Scout:
    -No speed and double jump advantage for the props
    -Knock back with your lovely fan..

    That may be just 2 reasons ,but they sure are good ones..

    1-2 kills as pyro without changeing your weapon and props lose the speed advantage
    double jump isnt that much of an advange cause of the jetpack
    knockback just launches the player out of the effective range of the FaN

    You can still one shot kill a scout with the FAN even with its current status BY THE WAY.

    you have to be in melee range to insta kill a scout with a FaN
    backburner is almost an insta kill if the scout is facing away
    most melee crits insta kill scouts
    the huntsman can insta kill scouts from a huge range
    the pickaxe is an insta kill if the sollys health is low enough
    i dont see what the problem with BLU scout is

    i'd say its the speed that's the problem, they can catch and kill props really fast if they can find them, but one thing i noticed when they were in for a short while they die SO quick, people tend to spam their attacks and die very quick but that might have been cuz they were idiots i dunno.
    if you were to nerf the scout a little like slow him down and not give him speed boost when he kills and also limit it to 1 per team i can see it being ok, on a side note i want my battle engie/medic >:

    They were just idiots, you should of seen it when dark or shinkz were playing as scout when all the classes were allowed, it was near impossible to get away from them at the time.
