Spoilers for the ending are hidden.

But the real open-ended question of Code Geass is who is best girl?

  5. Falsey John, the Goldfish: Never Forgotten

Code Geass is perhaps the single most overrated anime of all time.

  6. Overrated? Yeah. Most overrated of all time? Hell no, there's always garbage like Madoka, SAO and NGNL that are completely horrible and still highly praised.

Madoka is overrated, but it's still a pretty intelligent anime that deconstructs an entire genre of the medium.

    The rest are pretty shitty.

  8. Madoka was trying to be intelligent until that horrible movie sequel was released and did a reset ending, it killed the entire series for me. Imo Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de aru is a lot of a better deconstruction of that genre.

  9. audiosl4ve Saitama's underling

don't you dare to touch my NGNL harem

  10. Falsey John, the Goldfish: Never Forgotten

But harem is, by default, shit

  11. Hearth Forever Traitor

I won't lie, it's pretty overrated - it's not as bad as some though. Every season we have that one anime that is idolised. I think those are more worthy of that critique than Code Geass.

  12. Humpers GM's Resident #420 Twatmeister General

Personally I loved it, I preferred the first season to the second however.

  13. Falsey John, the Goldfish: Never Forgotten

By the way, in a similar style to Code Geass but far superior, try Fate/Zero for an anime with a great intertwining story between different opposing characters and factions. Might just be the finest anime series I've seen, rivalled by Kara no Kyoukai, also by ufotable and the same writer
