Spawn. I meant spawn. Damn autocorrect
Also the soap here is naff. Pass
Yeah, on a similar note:
1) Go Heavy
2) Find a Medic
3) Jump into enemy base
4) Have fun
5) Trade Sandviches for Ubercharges
You get my point.
1) Get Robin's Rocket Launcher
That;s all you need.
Hear, hear me people! Come closer, and don't forget to put on your 'turn ugly to nice' glasses in case your eyes are too sophisticated (eg. you're using hd pack for mc)! The long lost map from loll's hard drive is now found and given a minor facelift!
Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you: CP_ORANGEBOWL(_a6.8)!
The Attackers launch their attack from the Blue Headquarters:
They battle through the narrow pathways;
To capture The Generator Room!
They push their enemies back as they continue to struggle their way towards the second point, but I guess by looking at the picture's left side you already know...
Yes, The Tower of orange_x3!
BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE
WELCOME TO STAGE 2:
Why is this stage called The Bridge stage? See for yourself(ignore silly water):
A quick look at the other side of the bridge, (ignore steam )
But what if we turn the camera? We spot our fourth point: The Door!
THIS, AND EVERYTHING ELSE CAN BE YOURS! If Sir Darkimmortal answers me on steam :3
I think playing this would make my brain explode.
Nuclear Launch Detected
put the X3 fix on the orange server dammit
good job there loll.
Great, looks nice, I would play on the map, even if I hate Orange type maps, but this one looks cool for me
A magnificent job you've done on that, truly would be great to play due to its varied structures of points etc. For clarity, is this an attack/defend or a total control map? Whichever way, I do hope this map is accepted
Attack/Defend just like Dustbowl. 2/2/2 caps. Only 2 stages as of now, 3rd will be done when I get to the 9th alpha version.
It looks like an incredible map, and I salute your skills for creating this.
I do however have a slight problem with it, while impressive and quite a few people here seem to like the look of it, I don't.
Here's why, I play on Orange a fair bit and I enjoy the long tedious games of pointless death matching, the lack of seriousness and so on.
The thing about Orange maps is that they are open, they are simplistic and basic. Very little cover.
Yes, they are sniper heavy.. But that's just one of the things about Orange, it annoys me at times, but I also enjoy it.
This may probably be just my personal opinion, and it's fine if no one else shares it, but I find it hard to enjoy myself when I play some orange maps, because they have features they don't need.
The nice and simple, single tower in the middle, two points either side. That's what does it for me, and that's what I enjoy with Orange.
If I'm alone in that though, so be it.
Just wanted to get my opinion across.
Open/big orange maps are always good fun.
If you read back a bit, you'd know that they don't plan on replacing the current orange server with this, it's more of an addition for those who are bored of the usual orange.
Doesn't matter if they make a new server for it or not, I wasn't worrying that the current Orange map may get replaced, I know it wont.
I'm just saying that I dislike the crowded feel I'm getting from this map.
Whether or not it replaces #7 is irrelevant to my post.
Fairysnuff if it's your opinion.
I personally love a map that's similar to Dustbowl as I'm a Dustbowl addict but i know the map far too well and it gets boring. Hope this gets through :3
I haven't played Dustbowl in a long time.. Thing is I know the Orange map incredibly well, yet it doesn't bore me.
I'll usually play for about 2 or so hours, unless I'm talking to people on there. In which case I'll play for longer.
So what would you rather have?
Similar to Dustbowl - possibility that you'll learn it quickly and get bored
Or something completely different - It'll be different, but maybe too different.
There's a balance around somewhere..
I'd kinda like a similar gameplay to dustbowl on a nice map. I say bored but i can still easily play it for 3 hours straight. Same as Orange actually. Anyways I'd like to try something new, can always go back to good old orange
I won't spam this thread anymore though.
the only problem could be 16 players being funnelled into one small area. Unless I'm being an idiot and not paying attention to the design
Well, that is the case for a fair amount of official map running on a 32 people server.
