Crits and points recived from them. Should criticals have their modifier turned down, yes or no? This basically means that you will not receive as many hlstats points for a crit kill as you would for a non crit kill. Feel free to post questions and opinions.
Re: Crits and points recived from them. Voted yes - logically, assisted kills (crits) should yield less skill points.
Re: Crits and points recived from them. well db server, 90% of the ppl want crits, so the kritz is useless. +1 and yes 4 me too
Re: Crits and points recived from them. It should still affect the kritz uber, since kritz makes it far easier to kill unlike normal uber which makes it far harder for you to be killed. Basically it would balance out the score gain from each type of uber (hopefully).
Re: Crits and points recived from them. No, you need to go crits on or off, otherwise, people will start getting annoyed because they start critting on what would have been 'legit skill' kills. Good idea in theory, but meh, would rather just turn them off if we're going to screw with them. Edit: Any way to drastically reduce crit rates? I really don't think the lowered points thing is the best option here.
Re: Crits and points recived from them. Same reason as Kaka As you get a crit rocket for example, you still need to aim it at your enemy's feet (or body...) to kill him... and I've seen a lot of noobs that simply can't aim at all And a kill is a kill -> keep regular point (but a crit kill is a shitty kill though..)
Re: Crits and points recived from them. I do agree with the crits yielding lower HLstats scores but what about headshots? are they on a different calculator because i assumed that a head shot was an instant critical hit??? would that mean us snipers would get lower points for kills but still get the 2 points per head shot? You Rang?
Re: Crits and points recived from them. You get extra points for those two events, enough to easily counter the point loss for having less points for a crit.
