So I started speed running Dark Souls a couple of days ago and I am no god but I've come pretty far in 15 minutes than most have in an hour (so that's a plus!). The idea of this is simple: Race to a certain objective and complete it as fast as you can. Over on /r/speedrun I posted my attempts and it caught a few interested people. They liked the idea of runs that cut short to try and optimize those routes. Could maybe be incorporated in a bigger run? So for this first run the rules are simple: - Get to the Bells on top of the Undead Church and ring them. - No use of glitches allowed. Record it with a timer so we can see the precise time. It's incredibly challenging actually! The recorded attempts so far: 16 Minutes 48 Seconds - Vipar 8 Minutes 52 Seconds - blastedt Someone claimed to have done it in 8:39 but was playing on a PS3 so couldn't record. If we take his word for it, then he is currently the fastest time. Even if you don't beat any of these times it's still a lot of fun to try it out!
