Dedicated server being reformatted

    Dedicated server being reformatted

    Our server host is going to reformat the machine (fubared) hopefully today. I'm told he will be adding a second hard drive for the windows install and this gives us a chance to backup any data.

    So it looks like no GM TF2 servers for today.

    What happened?

    -Windows is fooked
    -Windows needs to be reformatted, this will hopefully be done today by the server company
    -All the data can hopefully still be backed up, this includes the TF2 servers, hlstatsx etc.
    -I will post info here as I get it

    We are having major trouble getting the files off the dedi - it looks like a virus or some other form of malware has completely fucked the file system. :(

    We are looking at up to a week of downtime while the files are recovered :cry:

    Nope, it really will take several days before the dedi is back online :( - Monday would be the absolute earliest :cry: :cry: :cry:

    Ah, damn, that's bad news. Hope it gets sorted out as soon as possible. Playing on other servers just isn't the same. :(

    Thats really really bad news =(

    I can deal with it if we loose our HLstatsX stuff, cause the more i play the less important it gets (to me).

    I just hope, that we don't loose to much of our frequenters. That would be really bad...

    Well I'll certainly be back though I would be pissed if the HLstats are lost after working my way into the top 30. GM are the only servers i play on :(
