Maybe this will be more popular than the deathwatch party idea ;3

I don't want to let this whole thing get down, so here you go. 5 people, requirements are: some basic idea about the system (read the rulebook) and some character ideas. It's okay if you don't roll the character out, rough idea is enough.

There's a reserved spot for LewyJudge12 as he suggested the game, but if he doesn't wish to participate it's free of course.

    Fallout?

    That's an RPG?

  3. Harv Admiral Anchovy

Yeah there's a pen and paper version and its rulebook is freely downloadable.

  4. I would enjoy playing, I'd need to brush up on the rule book however

  5. Brent ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Can you be a supermutant in this game?

    The games themselves are RPGs.

I'm interested, but i'd need to consider how much time i'd be able to commit to playing and would need to brush up on the rules big time.

I'm sure it won't be too time-consuming considering I'm not a time-millionaire myself. I'd rather hold more shorter sessions per week than one long, if it helps.

  10. Mole45 Dance Little Liar

    Name: Dave T. Argon
    Race: Human
    Sex: Male
    Hair: Brown
    Eyes: Blue
    Height: 1.7m
    Weight: 120lbs
    STR 3
    PE 9 (8)
    EN 5
    CH 1
    IN 8
    AG 7
    LK 5

Trait: Tech Wizard (This lowers PE by 1 which is why it has 8 in brackets)
    Skills: Small Guns, Science, Repair

Background: Dave never was the most social of people, spending most of his time breaking things, fixing said things and breaking them again in the name of science. He lived, worked, and scienced out of a small shack in the hills, when shit hit the fan as he puts it, he cut a hole in each of the walls of his shack and took to using his rifle to take off anything threatening before it got close enough to force him into any social interaction. Sadly, the cocking handle on his rifle, (also called Dave), became greatly unreliable and he had to go and search for spare parts, upon his return to his shack, with no parts found, he found it demolished with any useful parts stolen. Abandoning the broken rifle and setting the remains of his shack to leave nothing behind, he walked off into the wilderness to look for a new shack and a new rifle.

Sounds good, been reading through the rules and am becoming more and more interested. Only problem is that my exam timetable will make me fairly inactive over most of may.

  12. This sounds great Harv!

    Character:

    Name: Roland Emerson

    Race: Human

    Sex: Male

    Hair: Black

    Eyes: Green

    Height: 5'8

    Weight: 150 lbs

    Stats:
    STR - 4
    PER - 8
    END - 2
    CHA - 3
    INT - 7
    AGL - 9
    LCK -7

Tag Skills: Sneak, Melee Weapons and Lockpick as my skills please!

Background:Before the wars. Roland was a simple homeless man, struggling to have a way of life with no family members or friends to rely on. If anything, the wars did nothing but improve his way of life. It allowed him to create his own way of life and follow his own rules. He was able to use his talents from before the wars to his advantage. Sneaking in and out of stores, stealing food and drink to keep himself going, as well as fresh clothes and other things to pass the time. With little to no social interaction, it has become a thing of the past for him as he now focuses on the job at hand and keeping himself alive. He moves on throughout the world, isolated and always aware.

It's fine for now, try to think a background story and some general description for the guy.

I spent about 20 minutes thinking up a character earlier, might as well post for now:

    Name: Paul "Hunter" Rose
    Age: 28
    Sex: M
    Race: Human
    Hair: Light Brown
    Eyes: Hazel
    Height: 1.73m
    Weight: 169 lbs

    STR: 5
    PER: 10
    END: 6
    CHA: 2
    INT: 6
    AGL: 10
    LCK: 1

Tag Skills: Small Guns, First Aid and Outdoorsman

Background: Perpeptually struggling to fit in and socialise, Paul always found solace in camping and exploring with his father. Due to his crippling shyness, Paul seldom made friends, preferring always to hang out with his best friend, his dad, in the vast wooded wilderness near their village. Paul never performed well at school, albeit not due to a lack of intelligence, but more so a lack of interest; the only lessons he cared for were the ones his dad would give him on their camping trips. Since Paul's mother had passed in a car accident only a year after his birth, he had become extremely close to his dad. His father was very much a master survivalist when left to his own devices in the wilderness, passing his skills and knowledge down to Paul gradually over the years. Like his father, Paul was never lucky, though his dad taught him from day one how to rely on his abilities rather his luck. When Paul turned 18, his father decided he should learn to shoot however, as was their luck, the lesson lasted one bullet, which narrowly missed the target his father had placed on a tree, ricochetting off said tree and grazing his father's arm. This prompted a blitz of first aid lessons from the survival expert before resuming their arms training. Paul took to shooting very quickly, his excellent accuracy on giant cockroaches and ants causing his father to nickname him Hunter. Never gifted with height, Paul was also very agile due to his slim figure, which finally started to bulk out a little bit after his 20th birthday. Their camping trips more often than not transformed in to hunting trips and survival challenges, during which they would often stay out for days on end before returning home. Paul spent his 23rd birthday at his father's death bed, watching cancer slowly take his closest friend. Unlucky and alone, Paul went "off grid" for the next 5 years, but may well need to rely on, trust and befriend others to survive in this new world.

The wiki and the rulebook are two different versions, (3.0 for the wiki, 2.0 for the rulebook), which will we be using?

  17. Harv Admiral Anchovy

Since the wiki and 3.0 is a work in progress, I think we should stick to the downloadable rulebook.

    Background story:
Daniel was born in a vault, his father was the vaults mechanic and Daniel watched his father whenever he had to fix anything.
When Daniel was 8 his father started teaching him the basics of fixing whatever was broken, which in the vault, ranged from broken toys to the security robots.
When Daniel was 14 his father passed away and now Daniel was the only man inside the vault that knew how to repair things.
He understood the machinery well enough so that he could copy it and started making his own machinery.
When Daniel became 17 the vault that was his home took severe damage and the ventilation units were broken beyond repair so everyone was forced to leave the vaults.
Armed with his fathers toolbelt Daniel tried his luck and together with a couple people from his vault, he took on a journey towards the closest city but that journey didn't last long when they got raided in the first night.
Daniel managed to escape and ran until he found a house in the middle of nowhere.
Inside the house there was a broken Mr. Handy unit which he could repair with items found inside the house.
With his new companion he decided that this would be his hideout and made a couple tripwire traps which he placed around his house.
At his second night inside the house he heard a scream amongst other commotion outside and he then realised someone must have sprung a trap.
He sneaked a peek outside a window and saw who was out there.
It were the same raiders that attacked him and the people from his vault a couple nights before.
Daniel got an idea and with a tearfull eye he rigged his new friend, the Mr. Handy unit, to explode.
Daniel sent the Mr. Handy unit downstairs to greet the intruders and shortly after that it exploded and killed the raiders.
The house was in ruins and slowly burning down so Daniel left his second home and went on a journey to find another.

-edit: Also, would it be ok if i switch to Ghoul or would you rather have us play as Humans?

  19. Harv Admiral Anchovy

I'd rather have the first party only being humans
