Files Mysteriously Disappearing

    Files Mysteriously Disappearing

    Yet more vBulletin files have disappeared or had large blocks cut from them - namely the admin panel homepage, search includes and usercp-related files.

    And as if that wasn't bad enough, the entire SourceBans web panel has disappeared without trace. >:(

    ye, my cp panel aint there.

    source bans/ the logs are still recorded*bans*? or not :S

    This sounds like someone is deleting stuff... has the dedi ever had HD problems before?

    No one just deletes stuff from the dedi, might bee Disk Keeper (if you still have it) or something.

    Gaaargh, Annoying poltergeist is annoying.

    I'll put the web-panel back on when I get home.

    Don't worry about banning people in this time though guys, the banning and admin plugins will still work, but won't appear in a nice webpanel, they will be there when the panel is turned on.

    Well, in my experience files simply don't just delete themselves, I'm in the opinion of Reag, someone must be deleting them, it's as simple as that.
    How would Disk Keeper be causing the removal of files ?

    Oh FUCK it must be diskeeper. Diskeeper deleted my MFT (and its mirror) and $secure so I definitely wouldn't put it past it to delete a few files. I'll see if there is a newer Diskeeper available :)

    Also who replaced the editor css file? :(

    well, whoever has access those files needs to admit that they did it.

    the only ppl I can think of is dark/geit/ spyko right?
    donno if geit and spyko haz access.
    if not then dark is the only..... wat's up m8 :mmmhmm:

    No this isn't malicious damage. Well, the vBulletin files definitely aren't.

    No one would bother editing files, inserting non-printable characters and deleting specific function includes.

    functions_calendar.php and functions_wysiwyg.php just got deleted with Diskeeper fully disabled - it's not Diskeeper.

    It could be PHPExpress, but since both DarkiSock and Imgkk are encoded with Nu-Coder, we can't do anything about that.
