    GPU Explosion

Power spike took out mu GPU 2 weeks ago, which is why I have not been playing (and why when I was some were kicking my ass)! Anyway, I need to replace and it is about time I rebuilt as well. Any thoughts welcome.

I have a pair of NVidia 9600GT GPUs on standby. Looking for a good mobo and CPU in SLI to complete. Curent thoughts are:

    Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 LGA775 'Yorkfield' 2.66GHz 12MB-cache (1333FSB) Processor

    I need a mobo with 2 x 16 PCI-E, 45 nm Quad ready, DDR2, integrated LAN/Audio, good o/c

Basic thing that is throwing me is do I need a Nvidia mobo chipset to handled SLI, or can I get away with an Intel?

Only nvidia chipsets support SLI afaik.
