I was looking for a low-budget pc recently which can run tf2 flawlessly, and I got this: 1 year old, not sure about the motherboard but probably a Gigabyte 8i915p (LGA775,4xDDR2,PCI-E) Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3Ghz ATI Radeon HD 4850 1Gb DDR3 256bit 2Gb DDR2 RAM 750 Gb HDD 500w PSU Win7Ultimate on it (will have more detailed information later on) All this for €203 aka £172 Is this a reasonable price?
if it does what you want then its worth it, i'd say £100- £150 for it tho i'd pick up 2gb more cheap ram for it too
Bargain with the guy to get the price down to the £150 mark, but if you Can afford it its not a bad deal.
It seems I got it down to ~£160 which is a reasonable price, and i like it. so I think i'll be taking it..
It's a good deal, considering how the HD 4850 is still a viable low-end card. It'll run TF2 flawlessly. Find a nice Core 2 Quad to stick in it, and you'll be fine. Here's the compatible CPU list. Edit: Oh wait, you already bought it. The Q9550 goes for around $150-200 on ebay, but it can drop down to around $80 if you're lucky.
It looks like it's a great deal actually, I went and checked it out, a very nice interior, probably regularly cleaned, the guy thermopasted the cpu last week, also it has a legit w7ult (with key and sticker on it etc.etc.) 64 bit, and eset smart security. the agreed price is £164 total. I'll probably go for it next week as I don't have too many means of transportation as of now.
