Mhhh .... whats the network driver you are using there ?! Is it a special Win 7 one ? Try to install the Vista one, many Vista drivers work fine on Win7. =)

i disabled tcp/ip v6 protocol, it helped a little bit, however lags take place from time to time

i recorded demo and gameplay during watching looks different from what i see during the game. In demo the game slows down while i have 0.5-1 sec freeze. Anyway http://www.mediafire.com/?yj2tminmrzd

guess what bur, I'm experience some lag issues now.

I watch your demo, it sorta the same, but mine looks worse.

I'll have to see what I installed over the past 4 weeks. as 4 weeks go it was perfectly fine.

    my autoexec:
    Code:
    rate 30000
    cl_cmdrate 101
    cl_updaterate 101
    net_graph 1
    cl_interp 0.067
    cl_lagcompensation 1
    cl_interp_ratio 1
    mat_picmip -3
    jpeg_quality 100
    bind f8 quit
also I heard some ppl are say that since the halloween update, big drop in fps etc

  6. Re: It looks that my windows 7 doesn' like TF2

Yeah my fps went down a fair bit in the halloween update

I've checked the internets, and have some soluitons for you:

Remove mat_picmip from your configs, if you have it.
    Turn off HDR rendering
    Disable the In-Game overlay
Make sure multicore rendering is DISABLED (Why would you turn it on? D: )
Make sure your chipset drivers are up to date
Are you using a realtek audio driver, if so, remove it and stick with the default windows on until realtek get their act together.
make sure snd_mixahead is set to 0.1, and nothing higher.
    Verify Game Cache Integrity.
    Run steam as an administrator.

Either of you on wireless? Everyone else who has this problem appears to be: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=975048

Multicore rendering takes me from 40 fps to 60 fps on a 32 slot spamfest, but I think it's related to my wireframe/invisible players/fucked water bug :<

And Realtek drivers work well for me :P

Also lol, who games on wireless?

    But HDR looks so nice!
Multicore is only nice when running multicore system.. but I'm not 100% sure if it actually helps.. :O

    Mutlicore brings me from 60 - 120fps.
Stop talking out of your hole geit.

It can, and does cause an insane amount of problems for the little FPS it does give, for example, if I run it on my machine (Core i7), then thread handling goes from 2ms per frame to 15ms per frame, which is actually a performance decrease. many other people get similar, or worse problems, including stuttering, just read the steam user forums.

  15. Re: It looks that my windows 7 doesn' like TF2

Tried setting the affinity so it only runs on two cores?

I suspect multicore rendering works better on dual core cpus

Also by taking it off core 1 you could potentially gain some FPS

  16. Re: It looks that my windows 7 doesn' like TF2

    I disabled HDR rendering
and removed mat_picmip from my configs.

    It better than before.

Geit, i have decreased all my graphics settings to min and it didn't kill the lags. After re-installation of win 7 tf was the first thing to install, so no realtek drivers at the time, also i did all the other things u wrote- no result for me...

  18. Re: It looks that my windows 7 doesn' like TF2

I can't think of anything else but an incorrect bios setting :/
