    Indeed Plasticz can make some interesting sound, I also use a old, now unsupported vsti from refx called beast, it's quite good at making dark sounds but it has no present support so it's entirely down to messing with the settings until you find something you like.

    Apart from that, ever thought of trying out Massive?

    It's worth trying it, it's got a shed load of options to customise it with and it's a lot more powerful than nexus on a whole.
