May 6th Probably a stupid idea, but I think that we should hold our own Election where all can vote just to see what happens. If you don't understand British political parties then google them Poll ends on the May 6th
If anyone chooses BNP - go die thanks. Infact. Get less ignorant, then die (yes I do realise the hypocrisy in the above sentence)
UKIP - UK Independence Party. Against EU, less/no immigration.. On the vote, I have no idea really. The system is flawed.
Lol, sounds like a fail party. xD Solution: Found a british pirate party, go board your stupid parlament, *Arrrrrrr*. EDIT: Our one ;-) http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http://web.piratenpartei.de/&sl=de&tl=en&hl=&ie=UTF-8 In October, when they were available for voting for the very first time they gained 2.1% of all votes, thanks to viral campagning like this one here: (Most of the described things were passed laws that have been finally stoped by successful complaints of Pirate-Party-Organizations at our Federal Constitutional Court - good thing we have these guys, im a member there as well, paying my monthly part = ) ) or this one here (sry, found no translation) (Our female family secretary "Ursula von der Leyen - aka Zensursula ("Censerala" or sth. like that xD)" intended to pass a law to censor the internet to "protect us from child porn" [sure], by allowing the federal police department to block "suspect" pages without any control, but even before it was passed they allready thought about blocking "other pages" as well, like the ones that contain content from violent video games etc. .....well, she failed epicly because of the resistance of the web and the Pirate Party )
Im argueing that way that the Brits - after the Sweds and the Germans - need their own pirate party as well. ;-)
http://www.pirateparty.org.uk/ We have one, but what this country doesn't need at the moment are more protest votes.
Well, hopefully your island wont stop working after the 6th of May because of a bloody stalemate. xD We got a human sleeping pill as chancelor that has officially decided to don't decide anything anymore until the important election of the state parliament of North-Rhine-Westphalia (my region, the most populated in GER at the Netherlands border) in May for whole 6 months now, so i know how that does feel.
Conservatives. Liberals don't have good enough policies/ don't have the ability to run a country -- I hate the labor party and all its bumbling about, so that leaves only the blues. They're pro education, pro working, pro family and pro getting the country out of its £848.5 billion debt... I believe that people who work to better themselves, and work hard, should gain the benefits of that work (queue Andrew Ryan). People who spend their entire lives living off the state and other people's money are, in my opinion, a waste of space. I'm not saying that people who can't find a job are a waste of space - that's different - but if they can't find a job then they need to be given proper support and training so that we can improve our economy and our country. Not just piss it down a drain. Savage
Great points, well made. BUT, their idea of how to decrease the debt by removing £6billion from public sector spending could very easily take away a limping countries crutches, causing a possible re-lapse. BUT, the rest of their ideas are high on my list of importance and think that they will probably win, the problem with Cameron is he is a bit of a Blair, a confident, knowledgeable faҫade. Whether he will be any good at running the country is another thing. !revote (damn, didn't work)
What the truth, I have no idea whatsoever why I am interested in politics so much. I have always been very interested in the world and how things work and how they are run and all that shit. In truth, I am a bit of a geek, especially to do with sciences (Physics and chemistry mainly). Also, i have been following politics closely since Iraq and 9/11. Also, I have been hit by the recession, my dad lost his job and we are now hovering at the bottom of middle class whereas before we were middle middle class. So I have been interested in seeing how different parties have ideas of getting us out of recession. In conclusion, I am too mature for my own good
