    need help please ;(

all right, so I have been having this problem for some time.

I'm not a huge player as I used to be, but I play from time to time on my computer. But some time ago, at a random time of play, I start to get this HUGE amount of lag of the game. Huge in every sound is repeated, I can't move at the proper speed neither the character nor my view. And it isn't my connection because I got it while playing half life 2 episode 2 too.

And even though my frame rate isn't the best, it never had this constant problem. Just as it starts it never stops, no matter how many programs I close. And is only on the steam based games because I check everything else and it is running perfectly.

if you can help me I will worship you

  2. AgentDoubleF I just wanna make you go pop..

Is it lag or low fps? If it's lag get a better connection, if it's low fps try updating your drivers. Other than that i'm clueless.

EDIT: Goat/dark add a tech support forum?

    low fps
sorry for saying lag, I got confused.
but the problem is that it didn't happen to me before and also I can play normally before it happens. Then at some point it starts to slow down and then I have to restart the game

Do you have some P2P software running like Utorrent for getting f.e. Porn? These things eat a lot of CPU power. Not that I would watch porn, that stuff is gross.

no, I always make sure I don't run things like that

  6. What framerate do you get during the lag spikes?

Can you list your system specs? (Processor, RAM, GPU - everest can tell you if you are unsure of them)
TF2 can be quite CPU intensive, I find I get major lag spikes below 2.5ghz, of course this will vary depending on graphics card and visual settings.

    Low frame rate

As it is intermittent it sounds as if it is low memory on your graphics card. Do you know what it is and what the memory on it is e.g. 256 DDR2? Could also be drivers, so check you have latest GPU drivers and (bit of a stab in the dark) I have found sound cards can glitch. May want to update those drivers or remove and go to onboard to see if it solves the problem.
