Opinions on this? https://secure.scan.co.uk/aspnet/Sh...130ac2f0&rid=ef2206062b344cb38af736de7a1cb55c Thanks
Something better here (A couple of changes, the larger version of the monitor, better cpu, better ram, different PSU) but I would suggest the AMD R9 270x over the GTX 770, a 770 is wasted on 1920x1080, it's a card more for larger resolutions. I would also suggest a 240gb ssd over a 120gb if possible. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Intel-Graph...?ie=UTF8&qid=1401202530&sr=8-1&keywords=4670k http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gigabyte-Mo...8&qid=1401202595&sr=8-1&keywords=gigabyte+z87 http://www.amazon.co.uk/G-Skill-PC-...&qid=1401203753&sr=1-15&keywords=8gb+cl9+1866 http://www.amazon.co.uk/550w-Power-...401203085&sr=1-3&keywords=550w#productDetails http://www.amazon.co.uk/Seagate-ST1...F8&qid=1401202749&sr=8-1&keywords=1tb+seagate http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=455333147&pf_rd_i=468294 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Arctic-Cool...F8&qid=1401202975&sr=1-1&keywords=freezer+i30 http://www.amazon.co.uk/LiteOn-IHAS...e=UTF8&qid=1401203191&sr=1-2&keywords=dvd+rom http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dell-S2340L...8&qid=1401202642&sr=8-1&keywords=dell+monitor GTX 770 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gigabyte-Nv...e=UTF8&qid=1401202763&sr=8-4&keywords=gtx+770 R9 270x http://www.amazon.co.uk/GIGABYTE-GD...F8&qid=1401202868&sr=8-4&keywords=amd+r9+270x As for case just use the one you got from scan or post a couple you like. http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb...words=&rh=n:340831031,n:428655031,n:430498031
It doesn't look like you'll be overclocking. If you were, you'd be using a K chip, rather than a normal one. You could probably drop the i5 4570 down to an i5 4440, since the differences in performance are minimal. You might want to switch out Z87 motherboard with something else, since you really only need one if you're overclocking and working with dual-GPU solutions. Are you willing to consider AMD for your GPU? If you are, you could save quite a bit of cash.
Whats wrong with the "MSI GeForce GTX 770 Twin Frozr Gaming Edition Graphics Card - 2GB" ? Is it too much for the rest of the build?
Agreed on the R9 270x, but a 240gb+ ssd really isn't necessary unless it is the only form of storage There's very little gain by putting games on ssd, and 120gb is enough for windows and pretty much all programs
Just do a Google and press the shopping tab. Scan do some good deals now and again, their shipping is shit though, it's like 4 quid or something so unless you're buying a lot of stuff from them, I'd look for something with free shipping.
All looks good, but personally I would upgrade to the Z11 plus case http://www.amazon.co.uk/Zalman-Z11-...e=UTF8&qid=1401204003&sr=1-1&keywords=pc+case
CCL are good for deals and sales, ebuyer is good too but their not-on-sale prices are usually a bit higher that they probably should be.
Used those and saved £22.55 in total across CPU, GPU and screen, wasn't worth changing from amazon for a few pennies on the other things. The sites returned are aria and alternate EDIT - Just worked out its cheaper to stick with amazon due to delivery charges haha
Is the cpu cooler compatible with the 4670k? I've just read the cooler is compatable with intel LGA1155, LGA1156, LGA2011 but the 4760k is LGA1150?
From Arctics website it does state is it compatible with 1150 http://www.arctic.ac/us_en/freezer-i30.html
