Random deaths at start of every round

Hi all. Been playing on the GM servers for quite a while now. A few weeks ago the servers went down for a few days. After they came back up I've started dying at the start of nearly every round. Just wondering if there's a reason for this? Example screenshot below:



Notice the 'XXX bid farewell, cruel world!'. It's quite annoying because it starts to mess up your K/D ratio.

That's because the teams swap for attack/defence.

Hah, don't I feel daft. Guess I just didn't pay attention to it before.

I don't think it is because of the attack/defense switch, because it doesn't happen all the time and happens even if you stay red but reach the next round.

I think it has something to do with limited spawn points or so...

not sure, just a guess.

But is really quite annoying!

Can't be to do with spawn points.

When an attacking team has captured all 3 stages the teams are swapped and the team now gets a chance to defend.

Also, there is autobalance in place.

It actually came about the time of the pyro update,

And if someone hits you but doesn't kill you in victory time they get HLSTATSX points for this as it says "*** Finished off ****" when hlstatsX enables itself.

Are you sure? I've noticed "XXX bid farewell, cruel world!" when the teams are switched since TF2 first came out last October.

Ah, I see.
Myke has butt-breath... Spawn area is small and enclosed... It all makes sense, now.

i eat n00bs and some of them are hard to digest => butt breath. :lol:

still, i've seen this on other servers as well. Either it's Sourcemod related or it's on every server.
