TF2 currently unavailable WTF?

    TF2 currently unavailable WTF?

    Since last night, every time I tried starting up my Team Fortress 2, after a few seconds I got this nasty little window appeared with the following message

    "This game is currently unavailable, Please try again later"

    So here is what I have done so far to try to resolve this issue:

    • Exit and restart Steam ~ Didn't Work
    • Exit Steam and deleted everything under the Steam installation directory except for Steam.exe, SteamApps folder. This basically force's Steam to update once you log in. ~ Didn't Work
    • Verified GCF Cache Files ~ Didn't Work
    • No Steam files are set to Read Only.
    • Checked Router settings and everything is how it should be.
    • Closed my AV and FW, this changed nothing.
    • Added Steam.exe and TF2.exe to the DEP exception list and guess what... ~ Didn't Work

    So if anyone can mention anything that I have missed that may resolve this annoying issue, please reply.
    **Also a quick note, I also have the following games and all these start as normal ?

    Counter Strike
    Counter Strike: Source
    Half-Life2
    Half-Life2: EP1
    Half-Life2: EP2
    Half-Life2: DM
    Day of Defeat
    Day of Defeat: Source
    Portal
    Left 4 Dead
    garrys mod
    Dawn of War 2
    Dark Messiah

    Delete your ClientRegistry.blob and restart your pc, launch TF2 and it should auto-regenerate a new ClientRegistry.blob which probably works.

    If not, (cuz that's the most used solution when I've had steam problems) I don't know the answer either

    Done that m8, never mentioned that on the list of things I did, as its the first thing most people try when there is a problem with steam.

    Isn't that a bit drastic?

    Give it a few days, this used to happen to me. It sorts itself out. ;)

    had this problem few months ago and tried all the above...

    in the end just reinstall Steam and things should be fine. just back up the game files so you dont need to spend time downloading games again, if u got the space for it =P

    ~if you got screenies n stuff you wanna keep, back them up aswell... lost alot of guud timez =P
