    Upgrading my rig, bought an Asus x299 Deluxe motherboard and i7 7820x 8core cpu. Not cheap :c

    Grabbed a cheap GTX 1070 to keep me going till AMD gets their GPU act together. Can't believe how powerful this thing is, it runs one of my OpenGL projects 2x faster than my old R9 290, hitting 60fps at 5K resolution :aaaaa:

    Yeah the difference in OpenGL driver optimisation is crazy, in RS3 I'm getting about 75% of a core CPU usage driving 1440p 60fps, whereas on the AMD R9 290 I was only getting 50 fps with 1 core maxxed out
