Friend in my fav. german hardware forum told me about this:

First click the right mouse button on a blank area in the taskbar and choose from the menu "Toolbars / New Toolbar.

Then navigate to the folder% USERPROFILE% \ AppData \ Roaming \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ Quick Launch

Select this folder and then appears again the familiar Quick Launch toolbar. However, now is also the name of the folder - "Quick Launch" there, so you can still click the right mouse button on a blank spot on the Quick Launch toolbar and clear the Show Title


(maybee you need to go advanced and "show hidden files" to see "AppData", but i bet, you are allready doing that )


Well, its just a little trick, to have something different to launch stuff from without becoming the task itself ...

im sure you can do it the same way as in vista and xp, create a folder, add the shortcuts in that folder, link that folder to the taskbar. da da

I installed windows 7 on my old hdd(3 years old). clean install




Just checking again if everything gonna work smooth.

so far demon-tools has issues but MagicISO works fine

Mhhh ....... got my free copy of Win 7 Professional x64 now on my desk, and dont really know what to do with it .....

Well, my ordered MacBook Pro 15,4" will arrive next week (hope so, sold my big Notebook, nerver really used it for mobile gaming), with a 256Gig SSD in it (thats why shipping takes so much time), so there will be enough space for a Win 7 paritition i think (wanna run some specific windows based emulators).

Well, my Vista will stay on my PC, i dont like 7 ..... i just install it on the MB Pro because i dont wanna buy a Vista license, im geting 7 for free by my university, and i allready used my free Vista license .....

The taskbar is more tidy, true.
But I think I will miss the "wording" from that
Plus, when you run CPU-z (either always, or for OC testing), you want to see the speed, when minimized, that effect will be gone too)

The new taskbar is fail, i prefer the oldskool taskbar, because i think there is a better order in my bar if there is a straight line between shortcuts and tasks.

If you cant work without a nice 4-staged taskbar -> Go cry some more !!!! [/Heavy]

Anyways: Win 8 is coming in 2012, so i think i can wait a bit until i get rid of my RUNNING Vista installation, i just begun to like Vista xD

Well, my free Win7 will run my MC Pro ..... i think the new 7 is at least worth its 0.00€
