It's overrated, most of your points are valid. But it's not that bad.
Just like sword art online you need to see past its flaws and take the story with a pinch of salt to enjoy it. It's watchable at least.

It's not the worse anime I've ever seen but imo it's far from great, and definitely no where near masterpiece level.
