New Sentry Gun?

    New Sentry Gun?

    TF2 had an update yesterday to bring in kill icons for community weapons. But something seems... out of place.

    What's this above the Direct Hit?

    As intresting as that sentry might seem, i can't put my finger onto whats that above the exploding pumpkin kill .. black ambasador hs? D:

    Edit:on the topic side, maybe a sentry with faster reaction time, laser guided rocket senty :P?

    Just mocked this idea up, emailing robin now

    •Laser is permanently on
    •Sentry rotates 360 degrees constantly at about the same speed as the current one
    •If it detects somebody, the laser spreads out to a larger radius and stops rotating, and starts following the enemy.

    Advantages:
    •Cloaked spies will take damage, and will shimmer red temporarily if caught in the laser
    •Harder for spies to sap
    •Takes a considerably more amount of damage before destroying

    Disadvantages:
    •It will only detect enemies at the same elevation as the sentry, it won't look up or down
    •Costs metal to use laser; it can go for 100 seconds(?) on full charge, takes 200 metal to bring up to full charge.
