    A Second Dedicated Server...

    If we got a second dedicated server (funded primarily by Geitiegg :D) what sorts of servers would you like to see on it?

    Realistically we can host about 170-230 full TF2/ZPS slots in total.
    A GM community-only Left 4 Dead server would also be quite nice - for each L4D server included in your suggested layout, remove ~16 slots (AI director rapes the CPU).

    Here's my suggestion:

    16 L4D Private server
    24 TF2 2fort/dustbowl (a surprisingly fun combo)
    24 TF2 5-CP maps
    24 TF2 Fun maps
    32 TF2 Dustbowl (to take some of the load off #3 :P)
    32 TF2 Goldrush/Badwater
    24 TF2 Highlander (forced via plugin)
    24 TF2 CTF maps

    200 slots in total.

    i know i´m not a part .. but ill say use 150 slots.. and lets enjoy the nonlag.

    Remember, not all these will be full. if the server lags at all with anyones suggested config. i'll (we'll) deal with it.

    Agreed - we should probably keep the slot count down as much as possible.

    Also, it might be a good idea to move the match server to the new dedi (or make a second match server).

    i'd like to see the following (TF2):

    server with control point maps: granary, fastlane, well and badlands.
    server with alternate control point maps: dustbowl, steel, gravelpit and hydro.
    server with CTF: 2fort, turbine and well
    and ofcourse a server with the two Payload maps
    maybe an Arena server would be nice?

    dun care about wether it's votes or not :p
    24 max players would be best to keep spam at bay (but secretly i love 32 dustbowl lol)
    oh and keep balloon raaaaace!!!
    anyway
    these are my ideas/suggestions/wishes

    i hope i'll see some of it on teh new server ^^

    Im with you guys. We will gladly welcome any servers with less lag than the current ones. 32-slot DB is like a signature server for GM... and Demanufacturer's idea is a good one. I'd have variety on our servers. Add in a server with customs rotation, they are a ton of fun as well. See Simiancage and Les Hommes Peutres servers for example.

    another dustbowl
    another goldrush
    tf2 2fort 24/7 (24 slots, 32 is impossible to win)
    another funserver
    an official map server (24 slots)
    another ZPS? (they are being used a lot)
    GMOD spacebuild (FTW I'll set it up if you want to, else I'm sure spyko wants to)

    32 slot arena is VERY bad idea, half of the people on the server are observers... make it 12-14 slots and it might work ;)

    another DB and another GR?
    then there's basicly no variation in teh TF2 servers
    i think many players would like some variation in the TF2 maps

    so yeah
    keep one GR and one DB map and add 2 different styled servers (excluding the balloon server ofcourse)

    If possible I'd Like to see a GM 9v9 Highlander server with no krits, which has 24hr gannary/gravelpit. This would also allow 6v6 match teams to practice on. I think there would be interest in this format?
