Borderlands pre purchase makes me pay more

    Buying it on Steam would be unwise. If you purchase a copy from any retailer, it will also include a steam key. For example, you can buy it on gamestop.ie for €25.97, amazon.co.uk for £24.97 etc. Saving about half compared to Steam. I'm sure there are similar Dutch retailers, that will also have it for cheaper than Steam.

    If you're buying it in Euro, you're still paying a hell of a lot more than you need to, for no apparent reason. The whole '10% off on Borderlands 2 this weekend' 'deal' is bullshit too. 99% of games that are available for pre-purchase on Steam get offered at a discount of 10% as long as you buy it before it's released, they're the only people who have decided that you have to own Borderlands to get that 10% off, which is quite shoddy.

    I quite like the idea of giving people who already own some of their games a better deal, but this price is shite. I guess I'll pick it up in the next Winter Sale if there is one.

    Well with this pre purchase you get loads of stuff I wouldn't get from a store copy I belive..

    We have all the way till September... I do want to pre-order it but I'm not paying 50 Euro if I can get it somewhere for half the price. I'll probably be getting it from gamestop or amazon, as Gaw said... but still, if it's literally half the price, Steam has GOT to be offering something more. I mean, Steam is known for it's stupidly low prices sometimes.

    Really regret buying L4D2 now, if I knew Borderlands woulda been this cheap atm would have bought that instead.

    But still, looking forward to Borderlands 2.
