  1. Condensation 0.1 - Automatically turns off Aero when in a Steam game/shortcut

Turns out the input lag and microstutters despite constant high FPS were caused by Aero on my PC, and I'm sure as hell not going to disable it manually every time I want to play a game, or permanently, so I made this:

It uses Open Steamworks to poll Steam for in-game status, and works with shortcuts and mods, not just proper Steam games. You'll need .NET 3.5.

     ===============

To 'install', extract this archive to somewhere and add a startup entry.
(Make a shortcut to it in Start > All Programs > Startup if you're lazy).

To manually turn Aero on/off, use ALT+F3.

There is no GUI; you must end process to exit.
(Using a windows service broke Open Steamworks.)

     Enjoy :>

  2. Gaw discord is my friend now

tl;dr: I can't run aero on my pc, and I'm too much of a bitch to turn it off because it looks pretty.

  3. Even with two monitors, running Aero is a cakewalk for a GTX 275 :P

Aereo gets boring after you used it for 15 minutes... Aqua/Marble/Unify FTW

  5. The only aero feature I can't live without is being able to hover over grouped windows on the 7 taskbar and see mini previews, otherwise I probably wouldn't be using it :P

Will this make my steam connect to the dedi whenever I open steam again?

  7. I'd be very surprised if it did.

You have alternatives to it... i remember THIS

Tehen ou can go ahead and install blackbox or LiteStep to not to waste your precious resources

  9. Spykodemon Disabled account

    It did it.

  10. It might be because of the logging code from RUM (which Mist also had), but I don't see how that would make requests come from Steam.
