Confused with trading with a f2p account

Ok I understand that I can be given items but I'm confused with the part about giving other people items (now I will try to explain how I am confused) ok I searched the internet for an answer to this question and people only mentioned the part about only being able to receive items as a f2p account so I went on the tf2 wiki and it said that f2p members can only trade items that have been given to them by a premium player but I'm not really sure anymore and so I made this thread so can somebody please explain all this to me (or at least direct me to a site that explains all this)

 

You can only give people items you have gained from other people + found

 

F2P can trade anything given to them by others, as well as dropped tools, taunts, and Salvaged Crates, as well as promo items from games they purchased that are normally tradable.

In other words; you can't trade dropped weapons and hats. The rest, you can trade.
