Re: Folding@home I dont know what that is.. realy.. But why not host alot of Left for Dead servers.. for the community
Re: Folding@home We don't really want to build a reputation on a server we could lose at any time in the near future, Folding@home is a good way of using resources until a decision is made on what to do with .10
Re: Folding@home Actually l4d servers are a fucking good idea - people don't care about IP addresses with them anyway - all they care about is the server being mod-free (at least from a gameplay perspective) and what host banner is shown. We can keep folding@home running too - it only uses 1 of the 4 cores
Re: Folding@home Make sure you have +sv_allow_lobby_connect_only 0 +sv_lan so I can connect with my ûber cracked version of this game hehe http://www.warez-bb.org/viewtopic.php?t ... highlight= Tested and working with players that have the retail version. I will be buying it when I get my salaries paid out, crashes like shit and it's hard to find servers >.<
Re: Folding@home I used to do a lot of DC myself, but then for D2OL and for a dutch team ofcourse (In D2OL the dutch team (Dutch Power Cows) is on #1 and for myself I'm on #12) For F@H they are #2 now. Anyways, have fun folding guys!
Re: Folding@home Looks a lot like a 3D protein/molecular modelling/exploring program for biochemists.
Re: Folding@home No you are not. In short: This kind of software (and there are many more variaties out there) use your unused CPU power to do some kind of scientific calculation. Some projects are for finding cures/medicine structures against diseases, others fold proteins, and others are looking for outer space life. Also some are/were try to find some new prime numbers. See, lots of good stuff  (but also good for your relation ship with your energy supplier 0.o )
Re: Folding@home Could it be, that it is this client, that is laging down the servers since 2 weeks now ?! xD GM is becoming famous, for it's server cleanin' up lags, ya know ?!
Re: Folding@home Nope, this runs on the old dedi. (Not recently) The lag on the old dedi might be because dark is on RDP alot while developing his scripts. And a sheer amount of TCP connections to the dedi. (From the servers. imgkk.com, stats pages etc etc)
Re: Folding@home "Hu" (i would say, it comes from the old idea, the admin is using the server for extreme porn leeching via Bittorrent sometimes xD)..... well, to be ontopic: I am allready @ Folding@Home with one of my nVidia GPU via my favourite german Hardware website, which runs an own team ..... we are at #42 in the worldwide team stats, and still are geting higher Look for "PC Games Hardware" in the ranking -> Hundreds of german enthusiast-gamers with their Teraflop-performing GPU's really have some impressive computing power xD
