Installed D-FENS

    Installed D-FENS

    Just installed D-FENS, which protects against this nasty client-side addon, which allows people to download just about any file on a server's hard disk running any Source gameserver. Including database passwords, FTP passwords etc. etc.

    And on L4D2 (which I've also protected) you can go one step further and upload your own binaries which have absolutely free roam of the server.


    Sorry to all of the ~60 people playing when I killed the servers just there, but this has started actually being exploited recently and a security breach would fuck us over in so many ways.

    Thank me to pointing out how this can be used.
    I've been cleaning out quite a few orangex servers in the last 5 minutes.

    Also changed one to 2fort.
