    kidcaster and his rubbish laptop...

    my laptop has come to the point where the screen has like 8 lines going down in blue and black... PHAIL laptop :( have to use my rubish ass windows 2000 desktop FTL! the make sux, the graphics card sux so bad it cant even play 2d PACMAN -.- (sarcasm :O) and it freezez like ever 10 seconds.. and a huge delay on typing.. i wont be ingame for a while unless this windows 2000 peice of junk can run some cool games.. (Doubt)

    Windows 2000 is the best OS Microsoft has released to date, and if the pattern continues (XP as 98, Vista as ME), then Windows 7 will be the new Windows 2000.

    lol nah i prefer mah laptop with core duo T5550 processor and the Nividia 8400 GT <3 now i want a Blu-ray laptop :D

    Exactly what I use mine for -- it's nothing special by today's standards, a single core Turion @ 2.0GHz, 2GB RAM and X1100 ATI graphics, but it plays N64 games and GBA games perfectly, as well as Vent when I'm playing in a match (easier to modify settings as and when needed) -- as you can see there is nothing demanding about any of this!

    Go for a desktop -- they are far superior for gaming and you can get an AWESOME setup for £600.

    Why not have a go at building one Kid? It's an easy enough process as long as you're careful (and it's lots of fun!!)

    If i was to built for u there would be about £65 cost added. and would take about 2-3 day. as it would be built and tested, and the secoond one is the better option.

    If you were to build the second one i would invest in a better CPU cooler this way u could easily clock the 2.4Ghz cpu to 3.0 or 3.4Ghz. Best Cpu air cooler is about £35.

    + 80% of the parts used have a 3 year warranty.

    I think an AMD system would do kid since i doubt he wants/needs to overclock his pc, somthing like this:
