Sorry if this has already been done a quick check to see if there was a thread for this but anyway this will be thread for people to share tips and advice to do with trading on tf2 just to help people who are new to trading like me Just a recap because I might of made no sense there Sorry if this has already been done. This is a thread to post your tips and advice for trading in tf2. Sorry if this seems like another random useless thread but I really barley any idea what I'm doing . Also sorry for any spelling mistakes. Also is it a ripoff if I sold my The Nanobalaclava, Voodoo-Cursed Heavy Soul, Spectacularly Lethal Fists of Steel for a Ellis' Cap.
http://steamcommunity.com/id/Gamerdile/inventoryhistory/ just thinking how many other times have I been ripped off now
You have to be as mean as possible to the person you're trading. Show them who's the one in charge, make them plead to accept your offer. Tell them how worthless they are of your superiority. They want to trade something for a lower price than the item is worth? Mother fucker you destroy them with words. The customer is always wrong, what you says goes babyg
ok but I don't think I'll be that mean anyway I need to start saving up some scrap to get my spy hat replaced
For future reference. If you're unsure when trading, ask someone in GM who knows their way around. I used to ask Hooch when I needed help knowing if im getting ripped off or not, since I generally had no idea. Surely out of all the people here that trade theres always someone happy to help. (Add on steam though, not create new threads )
This is the best tip. Rename yourself to Gamerdile - Girl Gamer, then go onto a server that's pretty full and be a female and you'll get loads of shit. Hey, you're like 12 too! Just use your mic and there's no way they won't believe you're female!
whenever i´m trading for something i allways look at a trading website, tf2outpost.com for example. i search people who own the item i´m looking for and i also search for other people who are looking for the same item. i go and see how much the people who own the item are looking for and i go see how much other people are offering. Then i usually take the middle of both caes and offer that. example: i want a modest pile of hats. i go search people who own that hat and find out most of them want around 2 refined. then i go search for people who also want to get this hat and find out they want to get the hat for 1.33 refined (1 refined and 1 reclaimed) the middle of this would be 1.66 refined (1 ref and 2 reclaimed) so i go offer that as that is the fairest price for both sides. this usually gets me the item i want within a couple minutes (time varies with the quality of the item you want)
