    Using Lighting in Hammer and failing

    Right as a few folk know i've been trying to use hammer and failing miserably, i've only edited 2 valve maps and both times i failed in some way. The latest failing of mine is the lighting bugs on ph_sawmill, which include very brightly lit up textures near the red spawn and pitch black shadows on some of the windows and about 75% of the cave. After some tinkering i've found that the brightly lit textures in the room are caused by the light_env (after deleteing light_env the problem went away). Can anyone help me out with this? here are some screenys:

    trai hammer>maps>loadpointfile as you can load it its bad as you cant load then is it fine
