Hiking along that coast is one of my goals to be honest. The writer Johanna Sinisalo might have had a huge influence in that becoming a goal of mine though, but in any case.
So, today was really nice and warm and I went out to test my camera - here's a few of them (resized and jpeggy so that I could actually upload ) - York is so awesome!
Here are some car pics my mate took when I was down at the gumball in London, Didn't stay around long enough to see many of the official cars
Went on a journey to the south of England - took some photos - super jpeg quality due to terrible upload speed back home (so you can't see the details on the pictures, but you can see the overall effect!)
Just came back in from my first night out with my new camera, re-learning all the tricks to smooth nightshots. It's going ok, I think. And another one i quickly patched up in Lightroom:
From this morning - story here: https://www.gamingmasters.org/threads/the-good-thing-that-happened-to-you-today.7611/page-152 Fluffy crow! Here's a couple of photos of an 800 year old door which was quite pretty: I think my favourites are the fluffy crow (so fluffy!) and the old door - so pretty! I just wish the photos inside the minster could do it justice - but still, it was nice!
Nikkon D3300 is the model I have - it's a good entry level DSLR camera - not too fiddly but with all the bells and whistles you could want
Honestly think looks better in the before frame, the after frame looks like it lacks contrast - and is oversaturated in places. (Though I'm not actually sure why as you've increased the contrast slider, might be the increased exposure). It's only the background that looks strange though - the subject looks fine. EDIT: The difference is pretty menial below <500 ISO, but a portrait/still should really be at a lower ISO if the camera is able to capture it with a 1/500s exposure.
Yeah it was my first attempt at portrait shots, everything just seemed a little flat. I was shooting at 100-400iso cant remember what shutter speed.
Was out trying to see the Northern Lights last night. Sadly it was too foggy so got this instead: My bug splattered car
